A lustrous, bluish-white metallic element. Used in many alloys, brass, solder, eletroplate metal spraying, printing, cables, fuses, bearing metals, brass making and die casting. Die casting is used for the making of automobile carburetors, pumps, hubcaps, and drills. Zinc is also used for medicines and chemicals.
