Plant Indicators

The presence of a shallow sub-surface ore body can sometimes be speculated by observing changes in overlying vegetation. Soils covering the orebody may have leached minerals eroded from the orebody causing a change in vegetation. Open areas or clumps of dense vegetation may indicate changes in the underlying geochemistry.
